Small pieces: 1–2 hours. Medium pieces: 3–5 hours. Large-scale compositions may span multiple sessions. Your artist will provide a time estimate during your free consultation.
Eat a full meal 1–2 hours before. Stay hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the tattoo area. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours. Get a good night's sleep. Do not apply numbing cream without consulting your artist first.
Pain levels vary by individual and placement. Areas like ribs, spine, feet, and inner arms tend to be more sensitive. Most clients describe it as a scratching or burning sensation. Our artists are experienced in keeping clients comfortable throughout every session.
Absolutely. We welcome reference images, sketches, and inspiration photos. Our artists will refine and adapt the design to suit your body placement, skin tone, and long-term wearability. All final designs are custom-drawn by our artists.
Yes. Our artists specialise in transforming unwanted tattoos into new custom artwork. We assess size, ink density, and placement before recommending the best approach. Partial laser fading may be advised for better cover-up results. Visit our Services page for details.
Numbing cream is permitted but must be discussed with your artist before use. Some products can alter skin texture, affecting the tattooing process — especially for fine line and realism styles. Your artist will advise on safe products and correct application.
In many cases, yes. Tattooing over scars depends on the type, age, and condition of the scar. Fully healed scars (at least 1–2 years old) are generally suitable. Our artists will assess scar tissue during your consultation and manage expectations for the result.
Outer forearm, upper arm, calf, and upper back are popular for first tattoos — these areas tend to be less sensitive and easier to care for during healing. We recommend avoiding ribs, spine, hands, and feet for a first piece. Your artist can guide you based on your design and lifestyle.
Touch-ups for issues arising from our work are handled on a case-by-case basis. The tattoo must have been properly cared for following our aftercare instructions and the request made within 3 months of full healing. Touch-ups needed due to incorrect aftercare are subject to a fee.
Aftercare
Keep the wrap on for the time recommended by your artist. Gently wash with mild unscented soap and pat dry. Apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare cream 2–3 times daily. Avoid sun exposure, swimming, and soaking during healing. Do not pick or scratch the tattoo. Full healing typically takes 2–4 weeks for the outer layer.
The outer skin layer heals within 2–4 weeks. Full deep-layer healing can take up to 3–6 months. Avoid direct sunlight and apply SPF 50+ sunscreen once healed to preserve colour and sharpness long-term.
Yes. We stock professional tattoo and laser aftercare products at the studio. Our team will recommend the most suitable products for your skin type and tattoo style. Ask your artist at the end of your session.
Yes, but avoid soaking the tattoo. Short, lukewarm showers are fine from day one. Do not submerge the tattoo in water — no baths, swimming pools, or sea — for at least 3–4 weeks. Pat dry gently with a clean paper towel after showering.
Light exercise that doesn't stretch or sweat heavily over the tattoo area may resume after 5–7 days. Avoid intense workouts that cause heavy sweating over the tattoo for at least 2 weeks. In Johor Bahru's tropical climate, sweat can irritate a healing tattoo and increase infection risk.
Avoid direct sunlight on a fresh tattoo during the entire healing period (2–4 weeks minimum). Once healed, always apply SPF 50+ sunscreen to protect from UV damage. Sun exposure is the primary cause of tattoo fading over time — particularly important in Malaysia's year-round sun.
Yes — peeling and flaking typically begin around days 4–7 and is completely normal. It is the outer layer of skin regenerating. Do not pick, scratch, or peel the flaking skin manually — this can pull out ink and damage the tattoo. Keep it moisturised and let the skin shed naturally.
Second skin (Saniderm or Tegaderm) is a breathable, waterproof adhesive film applied over fresh tattoos after the session. It protects against bacteria and friction while allowing skin to breathe. Typically left on for 3–5 days before removal. Not all sessions use second skin — your artist will advise the appropriate wrapping method.
Apply SPF 50+ sunscreen every time the tattoo is exposed to sunlight. Moisturise regularly — hydrated skin holds ink better. Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, chlorine, and harsh skin treatments over tattooed areas. Touch-ups every few years are normal for keeping designs crisp.

The number of sessions varies depending on the tattoo's ink colour, density, depth, age, and your skin type. Black and dark blue inks respond fastest; green, yellow, and orange may need more sessions. Most tattoos require 6–12 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart. We provide an honest assessment at your initial consultation.
Laser removal pricing depends on the size of the tattoo and number of sessions required. Contact us or visit the studio for a free assessment and personalised quote. Multi-session packages are available.
We offer a wide range of piercings including earlobe, helix, tragus, daith, conch, forward helix, nostril, septum, and navel piercings. Our piercer will assess your anatomy and recommend the best placement and jewelry for your request.
Healing times vary by location: earlobes 6–8 weeks, cartilage piercings (helix, tragus, daith) 6–12 months, nostril 4–6 months, septum 6–8 weeks, navel 9–12 months. Full healing depends on consistent aftercare throughout the entire period.
We use only implant-grade materials: ASTM F136 titanium, 316L surgical steel, and 14k gold. These are biocompatible, nickel-free, and safe for fresh piercings. Non-implant-grade jewelry significantly increases the risk of irritation and infection — we do not compromise on this standard.
