Studio Agreement

By booking an appointment or using any service at Tattoo Things Studio, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. These terms govern your relationship with us and exist to ensure a safe, professional, and respectful experience for all parties. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with a booking.

All tattooing and body piercing services at Tattoo Things Studio are strictly reserved for individuals aged 18 years and above, in accordance with Malaysian law and professional ethical standards.

  • A valid government-issued photo ID (MyKad, Passport, or equivalent) may be requested before any service is performed.
  • Individuals who are unable to produce valid proof of age will be refused service without exception.
  • No exceptions will be made, regardless of parental or guardian consent.

Any deposit paid by an underage client will be forfeited. Tattoo Things Studio bears no liability for services declined on age grounds.

All appointments must be confirmed with a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking slot. The deposit amount will be communicated to you at the time of booking.

  • Your appointment is only confirmed once the deposit has been received and acknowledged by us.
  • The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your tattoo session on the day of your appointment.
  • Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances, including personal emergencies or change of mind.
  • If you fail to arrive for your appointment without prior notice (no-show), the deposit is fully forfeited and a new deposit will be required to rebook.

Deposits are accepted via Cash or Bank Transfer. Please retain your proof of payment until your appointment is confirmed by our team.

We understand that plans may change. Please notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • Rescheduling: You may reschedule your appointment once at no additional cost, provided you notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Your deposit will be transferred to the new date.
  • Late rescheduling: Requests made less than 48 hours before your appointment will result in forfeiture of your deposit. A new deposit is required to rebook.
  • Cancellation: All cancellations result in forfeiture of the deposit, regardless of the notice period.
  • No-shows: Failure to attend without any notice will result in full deposit forfeiture. Repeated no-shows may result in being declined future bookings.

Your health and safety are our highest priority. You are required to disclose any relevant medical information prior to your session.

You must inform us before your appointment if you have or have had any of the following:

  • Diabetes, blood disorders, or conditions affecting blood clotting (e.g. haemophilia)
  • Heart conditions or use of blood-thinning medication (e.g. warfarin, aspirin)
  • Skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, or keloid scarring in the tattoo area
  • Known allergies to inks, latex, metals, or antiseptics
  • Active infections, open wounds, or rashes near the intended tattoo area
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • HIV, hepatitis, or any other bloodborne condition
  • Recent surgery or ongoing medical treatment

You must also not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of your appointment. We reserve the right to refuse service to any client who appears intoxicated or under the influence.

Failure to disclose a relevant medical condition may result in refusal of service without deposit refund. Please consult your doctor before booking if you are unsure.

All pricing is quoted per tattoo session and varies based on size, complexity, placement, and time required. A final price will be confirmed during your consultation before the session begins.

  • All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).
  • Payment is accepted by Cash or Bank Transfer only. Card payments are not currently accepted.
  • Full payment is due on the day of the completed session before you leave the studio.
  • For multi-session pieces, the agreed payment schedule will be communicated at the time of booking.
  • Quoted prices are subject to change if the design scope changes significantly from the original brief.

Minimum session rates apply. Please contact us to discuss pricing for your specific design before booking.

Custom designs are created by our artists based on your brief. All original artwork produced by Tattoo Things Studio artists remains the intellectual property of the artist unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Custom designs will be shared with you prior to your session for review and approval. Minor adjustments can be made at this stage.
  • Significant design changes requested on the day of the appointment may result in rescheduling and a redesign fee.
  • We will not reproduce designs that infringe on another artist's copyright. We encourage you to share reference images for style inspiration rather than exact copies.
  • Once a tattoo is applied and you have given approval, we are not liable for dissatisfaction arising from design elements you agreed to.
  • Walk-in flash designs are available subject to artist availability and are priced separately.

Proper aftercare is essential to ensure your tattoo heals correctly and the final result meets expectations. Our artists will provide you with aftercare instructions at the end of your session.

  • You are fully responsible for following the aftercare instructions provided.
  • Failure to follow aftercare guidelines \(including exposure to sunlight, submerging in water, or picking and scratching the tattoo\) may result in poor healing, fading, or infection.
  • Tattoo Things Studio is not liable for any adverse healing outcomes resulting from failure to follow aftercare instructions.
  • If you experience signs of infection (excessive redness, swelling, discharge, or fever), seek medical advice promptly and inform us so we can assist.

We stand behind the quality of our work and offer a complimentary touch-up for tattoos done at our studio, subject to the following conditions:

  • Touch-up must be requested within 3 months of the original tattoo session.
  • The tattoo must have been allowed to fully heal (minimum 4–6 weeks) before a touch-up is assessed.
  • Touch-ups are complimentary only if the issue is due to artist error or studio-side factors. Touch-ups required due to poor aftercare, sun exposure, or lifestyle factors are chargeable.
  • Touch-ups are subject to artist availability and must be booked in advance. A deposit is not required for qualifying complimentary touch-ups.
  • Tattoos done at other studios are not eligible for our complimentary touch-up policy.

Tattoo Things Studio may photograph completed tattoos for portfolio and promotional purposes on our website and social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).

  • By proceeding with a tattoo session, you give us implied consent to photograph the completed tattoo on or near the tattooed area for portfolio use.
  • If you do not wish your tattoo to be photographed or shared, please inform your artist before the session begins and we will respect your preference.
  • We will not photograph your face or identifying features without your explicit consent.
  • Any client photos shared on our platforms remain the property of Tattoo Things Studio for promotional purposes.

We are committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for all clients and staff. The following conduct standards apply to all visitors:

  • Please arrive on time for your appointment. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in your session being shortened or rescheduled at our discretion.
  • Guests and companions are welcome in the waiting area, but we may limit the number of people in the tattooing area for space and hygiene reasons.
  • Abusive, threatening, or disrespectful behaviour toward our staff or other clients will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the studio without refund.
  • Please do not bring food or beverages into the tattooing area.
  • Children must be supervised at all times while on the premises.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion, including for reasons of safety, hygiene, or professional ethics.

Tattooing is a permanent body modification procedure that carries inherent risks. By proceeding with a booking, you acknowledge and accept the following:

  • You understand the permanent nature of tattooing and have considered your decision carefully.
  • You accept that skin reactions, minor discomfort, and variations in healing are a natural part of the tattooing process.
  • Tattoo Things Studio is not liable for allergic reactions arising from undisclosed medical conditions or allergies.
  • We are not liable for any dissatisfaction resulting from design choices that were approved by you prior to or during the session.
  • We are not responsible for fading, distortion, or changes to the tattoo caused by natural ageing, sun exposure, weight changes, or improper aftercare.
  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We do not accept liability for indirect or consequential losses.

You will be required to sign a consent and health declaration form before your session begins. This forms part of this agreement.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
